YOUR OPPORTUNITY
As a State Manager you are responsible for articulating Bacardi’s vision and roadmap in your designated state/region through development and execution of market strategy in order to achieve maximum performance with distributor management and relationship building with strategic accounts. You will lead, guide, and develop a successful sales team to drive results through actionable strategies, plans and programs.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Communicate and implement to Bacardi’s vision into compelling and actionable strategies and plans in your state to your sales team, distributor partners, vendors and customers.
  • Cultivator of a Family environment that openly encourages thoughts, opinions, and actions within your sales team in order to deliver results against team’s goals, objectives, timeframes, deliverables and removing any workflow problems or obstacles in order to achieve optimal performance.
  • Engage with Regional Director and Human Resources to hire and develop successful primos through engaging Let’s Talk discussions on specific primo performance feedback evaluating against sales forecasts and KPI goals and provide guidance in achieving career goals.
  • Identify potential top talent in your market and actively engage in recruitment recommendations and decisions.
  • Develop and strengthen distributor partnerships and effectively present 60-day window business plans, solutions, and brand insights with senior-level leadership evaluating distributor performance against aligned goals and KPIs.
  • Develop performance goals with distributors as part of monthly, quarterly, and annual reviews.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally and leveraging Bacardi resources to drive personal and organizational performance.
  • Take accountability and full ownership of your market’s P&L and produce effective forecasting to increase profitability and demonstrate a strong understanding of value chain economics.
  • Demonstrating strong financial acumen with an understanding and ownership of the marketplace pricing, structure, and strategy.
  • Analyze and understand the competition. Stay informed on key competitor offerings that may affect volumes as well as staffing changes at distributors and competitors.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, or related area.
  • Ideally you will have 7+ years field sales experience, preferably in the Spirits and/or Beverage industry.
  • Ideally you will have supervisory/management experience and positive track record of developing winning teams.
  • Ability to create, maintain and build long lasting relationships.
  • Demonstrated track record of performance and delivery
  • With a Founder’s mentality, you demonstrate exceptional financial acumen and decision making to achieve results.
  • You are influential and excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills. You will have opportunities to display excellent written and verbal communication skills while also being relaxed giving presentations in front of small groups of people including executives distributor partners, Bacardi primos, vendors and customers (both internal and external) at all levels of an organization.
  • You are computer proficient working in MS Office Products, including Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook and can use advanced computer functions, including navigating the Internet.
  • Be active in market with Distributor Partners, Key Accounts, and Top Partners across both channels in the region
  • Adopt a “Founder’s Mentality” with decision making across the market
  • Seek out and cultivate new business and future partners across our ever-growing customer base
  • Drive Region-Wide and State-Wide initiatives within your geographic area
  • Utilize local resources to grow and lift up key customers to new successes
  • Collaborate alongside dedicated and universal distributor sales forces to achieve common goals
  • Present monthly goals/targets/progress at monthly Sales Meetings (and Mid-Months, if applicable)
  • Work alongside Distributor Personnel in the field to achieve sales targets
  • Consistently represent Bacardi in a professional and courteous manner in all facets of the role
