Warehouse Stager

Position Summary

The Stager locates finished product (windows/doors/accessories) from the vinyl lines and processes by scanning and staging near the appropriate trailer for loading to our customer. This position must focus on securing techniques in order to ensure employee safety and items reach their destination without damage. The Stager must ensure that all items are scanned and complete prior to leaving the plant.

Responsibilities

• Stage released product in designated bays/areas by Factory Order
• Monitor staging area to allow for additional final product to be staged and communicate with appropriate leads/supervisors
• Process customer orders using barcode scanners and computerized shipping system
• Utilize proper loading, packaging and securing techniques that will facilitate safe product delivery to customer
• Adhere to all dock safety rules and housekeeping policies
• Interface with shipping loaders/leads/supervisor on condition/status of customer orders and loads

Education

• High School diploma or GED
• 1-2 years' experience in a warehouse or shipping environment
• Ability to read and comprehend English
• Use, understand, and thoroughly read a tape measure
• Commitment to safety and strict adherence to safety protocols and guidelines.

Physical Requirements

• Physical demands may include standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, climbing, pushing/pulling, forward bending, reaching, kneeling, crouching, squatting, crawling, postural balancing, manipulating, trunk rotation, handling, gripping, and talking (hearing).
• Must be able to lift to 100 lbs. with assistance.
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be provided and is required to be worn daily.

Work Environment

The atmosphere is that of a manufacturing plant. The position will primarily work where moving machinery produces noise. Employees must wear Personal Protective Equipment that is issued for that location. Temperature can range from extreme cold to extreme heat. Physical demands may include standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, climbing, pushing/pulling, forward bending, reaching, kneeling, crouching, squatting, crawling, postural balancing, manipulating, trunk rotation, handling, gripping, and talking (hearing).
