Our School:
Sedbergh School Vietnam (SSV) is a bilingual international boarding school. We have a very close working relationship with Sedbergh School UK and aim to deliver an exciting and holistic education for both Vietnamese nationals and foreign students in District 7 of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. SSV was previously the Bilingual Canadian International School (BCIS) and part of the EQuest Education Group. Building on the excellent reputation of Sedbergh UK with 500 years of history and boarding experience, we offer an exciting approach to the delivery of the Vietnamese National Curriculum in addition to an emerging Cambridge Curriculum including IGCSE and A Level programmes. We currently have over 1400 students from Nursery to Year 13 and approximately 200 support and teaching staff making Sedbergh Vietnam a busy school with a number of exciting challenges ahead as we expand. The role:

• Lead the development and implementation of the international pathway in primary, starting with Grade 1.
• Collaborate with the Vietnamese curriculum leads to drive innovation and student progress in the integrated MOET/Cambridge curriculum.
• Oversee the establishment of a full international primary pathway, ensuring alignment with best practices in international education.
• Contribute to the school's overall strategic direction as part of the academic leadership team.
• Monitor and evaluate the quality of teaching and learning within the international pathway.
• Facilitate professional development opportunities for staff involved in the international pathway.
• Engage with parents and the wider community to promote the international pathway.
• Ensure compliance with relevant educational standards and regulations.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in middle-level leadership roles within international primary schools.
• In-depth knowledge of the Cambridge Primary curriculum.
• Strong understanding of best practices in primary education and curriculum development.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in using educational technology to enhance teaching and learning.
• Experience working with integrated bilingual or UK curricula is a plus.
• Familiarity with the Vietnamese educational system and MOET curriculum.
• Preferred experience in mentoring and developing teaching staff.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Visionary thinker with a passion for international education.
• Adaptable and resilient in managing change.
• Collaborative approach to leadership and decision-making.
• Commitment to continuous professional development.
