Experienced Staff in Economics & Infrastructure Advisory

As a member of the Business Consulting – Economics & Infrastructure Advisory, you will be heavily engaged in providing consultancy services to government and public sector organizations at all levels, including national, local government agencies and state-owned enterprises, to support them overcome challenges and work towards country’s sustainable development goals and create better outcomes for the Vietnamese citizens. We also work with Multilateral and Bilateral Development Partners (ADB, WB, JICA, UK FCDO, DFAT, etc.) to support them deliver country development agendas.


Our focused working areas in Vietnam include Infrastructure development (for various sectors: transport, energy, telecommunication and digitalization, agriculture, healthcare and education etc.), Trade, Green/ Sustainable and ESG, Digitalization, Private Public Partnerships (PPPs), Public Investment Management, Public Finance Management, etc.


Your key responsibilities:

• Work together with EY local/international teams in government and public sector engagements.
• Perform research and analysis relating to government & public policy and issues.
• Ensure the work quality and excellence for all assigned tasks following the guidance of project senior members and EY’s Frameworks/Methodologies/Tools.
• Contribute to developing impactful reports and present results to Senior/ Manager/ Partner levels.
• Assist in proposal development and market pursuit.

To qualify for the role, you must have:

• A bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Business or relevant fields, preferably relating to public policy, with minimum 3.0 GPA (out of 4.0).
• 1+ years of relevant working experience in delivering consulting services for government and/or So Es and/or international development institutions.
• Solid research and strong analytical, problem-solving skills.
• Ability to develop, present new ideas and conceptualize new approaches and solutions.
• Excellent presentation skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Vietnamese.
• Strong leadership, teamwork and across countries collaboration.
• Execution focused and proven ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Willingness to learn, ability to work across different disciplines, move into new challenges and develop a robust understanding of different industries.

Ideally, you’ll also have:

• Knowledge or experience in infrastructure project preparation or transaction (greenfield or brownfield).
• Knowledge or experience in Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) engagements.
• Interest to one or more of the following sectors: Power & Utilities, Renewable Energy, Transportation, Social Infrastructure, Green Infrastructure.
• Any relevant professional qualifications would be highly regarded.
