Genaral Director (Water Treament/ Pump)

- Responsible for overall results and accountability for the P&L and balance sheet.
- Market and competitor analysis, find new business opportunities besides what we do now.
- Helping build a higher-performing team via sales management.
- High visibility to team members and strong and faithful leadership.
- Build upon the existing company strategy, implement a mid-term strategy, and communicate it to staff across the countries to enable them to implement it, take ownership, and commit to delivery.
- Be the face of the company in its relationships with major customers, and suppliers, especially the Group as well as in the region, government agencies, etc.
- Formulate a business development/sales/marketing strategy for the entity as well as a tactical plan to facilitate effective implementation.
- Ensure decisions are information and data-based and in the best interest of the company.
- Proactively drive growth projects.
- Monitor market trends and developments to identify market opportunities for the company’s technology in the country.
- Develop, maintain, and improve relationships with customers in core market sectors.
- Contribute at a regional management level to the further growth/development/broadening of the company’s business internationally; collaborate with other leaders within the region and within the Group.
Languages: Vietnamese & English (fluent in speaking and writing), other languages beneficial but not a requirement.
Skills:
- A Manager with good experience and overall managerial skills; doesn’t specifically need to be an expert in Finance, Controlling, etc., but must have the ability to speak those “languages” and to understand and decide which actions and measures need to be done.
- Well-developed business development/sales/marketing skills; an opportunity seeker and deal maker.
- A leader – manages by walking around; develops team members; has strong leadership qualities; is able to inspire others and build trust; is available to the team, ‘open door’ style; leads by example and from the front, involving the team to strengthen and build a strong community; must know how to manage different cultures.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills – keeps team members informed and involved; experienced relationship builder, able to communicate and build relationships at all levels both within and outside the company.
- Strong change management capability.

- Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Business acumen; sense for opportunities and chances, drive for results.
- Financially astute; understands the financial ramifications of actions.
- Ideally, the candidate is or has been in a Managing Director position. At the least, he should have experience in leading a sales organization with P&L responsibility.
- Experience from the responsibility of balance sheet and cash flow is seen as an advance.
- Solid work experience in Vietnam and ideally other nearby countries; understands how business is done in and outside the region.
- Proven ability to generate sales, and drive the business forward; able to see and anticipate opportunities, using contacts and market knowledge to identify potential projects as early as the concept stage.
- Well-established network of contacts at a senior level, particularly within Municipalities but also large conglomerates and professional firms such as architects and designers involved in large residential, commercial, airport, and/or hospital projects.
- Experience of running larger complex projects; solid understanding of project management.
