About the Role

As a Manager, Business Governance & Controls in our BG&C Vietnam Team, this role is critical with respect to embedding and optimising the execution of ANZ’s Non-Financial Risk Management Framework across the Global Institutional business. This role will support the Head of BG&C Vietnam embedding activities identified post the initial I.AM Amplified Program delivery of Risk Theme targeted releases. This role will support several key embedding activities, including, but not limited to, optimal control instance creation, monitoring design and appropriate coverage of key control objectives set by Risk Theme Officers.

This role is accountable for the following in the context of the Institutional NFR Embedding program:

Assist the Central BG&C Lead’s execution of the agreed approach to embedding and prioritisation of NFR Risk Theme targeted releases that includes uplifting existing local controls/ATC or designing new controls/ATCS to meet control objectives.

Ensure that respective BG&C Heads, Risk Owners and other key stakeholders remain informed of embedding progress and milestones through the presence of Group standard RMF materials.

Ensure prompt escalation of deliveries at risk at all stages of the program to the Central BG&C Team and respective BU/Country Head of BG&C.

What will your day look like?

As a Manager, Business Governance & Controls, you will:
Informed of the priorities associated with the embedding program and provided with an opportunity to ratify assumptions and detailed expectations of delivery.

Independently execute against the priorities, engaging with stakeholder groups across the Institutional Division as required.

Be working in partnership with the global embedding program team to aligned prescribed timelines, delivering at pace.

Be articulating current targets, milestones, and status to Heads of BG&C, Risk Owners and COO’s.

Uplift existing local controls/ATC or design new controls/ATCS to meet control objectives.

Contribute to the frequent tracking of the embedding program informed by the Central BG&C Team to the Globally Insto Executive.

What will you bring?

Strong understanding of Non-Financial Risk Management within Institutional context

Good understanding of local regulations/obligations

Proven ability to work independently with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation

Excellent communication, interpersonal and stakehlder management skills that recognise cultural differences across ANZ’s network.

Ability to work strategically, and both autonomously and collaboratively.

Ability to deliver under pressure.

Tertiary qualified, ideally with Professional and, or Post Graduate qualifications with strong technically relevant skills and understanding of technology, information security and data risk management.

Extensive NFR experience

Subject matter expertise in particular Risk Themes

Tertiary qualifications specifically related to Risk Theme

Strong Data analytical skillset.
