[R&D] Technical Project Lead (Product Development)

Bosch first started in Vietnam with a representative office in 1994. Bosch has its main office in Ho Chi Minh City, with branch offices in Hanoi and Da Nang, and a Powertrain Solutions plant in the Dong Nai province to manufacture push belt for continuously variable transmissions (CVT) in automobiles. In addition, Bosch operates a software and engineering solutions from product engineering, tool development & automation as well as testing & validation solutions (Bosch Global Software Technologies Vietnam).
In July 2014, Bosch set up a new Automotive R&D Center, located in Ho Chi Minh City. The continuous growth of this Centre is in line with Bosch’s strategy in Vietnam, which aims at becoming a manufacturing and R&D hub in the Southeast Asian region. Currently four products are available: connectors, push belt, fuel supply, and diagnosis module (tank leakage).

Job Description
-
Develops requirements with internal and external customers and stakeholders - Derive technical solutions out of requirements using existing product portfolio and initiate development of new product variants if needed
- Lead technical part in Engineering projects and Simultaneous Engineering teams following Bosch internal development standards
- Represent work towards steering committee as well as internal and external customers
- Interface to Design, Simulation, Testing, Customer, Sales, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Quality, Product Management and Controlling
- Handling of advanced/complex applications as well as coaching of junior application engineers
Qualifications
-
University degree in the field of mechanical engineering or comparable with at least 2 years of experience - Knowledgeable in design and manufacturing of plastic and elastomer parts
- Experience in the field of automotive connector components and systems preferable
- Independent, well-structured and goal-oriented way of working
- High resilience, readiness to take responsibility and high ability to work in a team
- Ability and willingness to take risks (decisions with limited information)
- Very good knowledge of English language in spoken and written form, knowledge of German language preferable
- Very good communication and presentation skills
