Position Overview
As a manager of Io T and Automation, you will play a key role in the management and implementation of Io T and Automation projects. Specifically, you will be responsible for working with stakeholders to understand requirements from which to propose, design, develop, and deploy Io T systems that help to improve the productivity, reliability, effectiveness, and efficiency of the business. It’s important that you are responsible for the project spending according to the approved budget. Beside project management, you will be working with cross-functional teams to optimize operations and make continuous improvements for the company. Finally, you are expected to build, train, and develop manpower for the team, the company, as well as customers.
Key responsibilities
Below are key responsibilities of the job

• Design Io T Solutions: tailor Io T solutions to meet specific business needs, considering factors such as data collection, network connectivity, data analysis, and data security.
• Deploy Io T Devices: choose appropriate Io T devices (e.g., sensors, actuators) and connect them with operational equipment and machines to gather real-time data on performance, quality, and environmental conditions.
• Develop Io T Platforms: collaborate with software engineers to create custom Io T applications and platforms tailored to manufacturing operations, including controls, visualization tools, and reporting mechanisms.
• Integrate Io T Platforms with Other Systems: integrate Io T applications with other systems such as Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) for continuous data exchange and improved production processes.
• Manage Io T Data: develop protocols and systems to collect and store large volumes of Io T-generated data, ensuring its integrity, security and accessibility.
• Analyze Io T Data: utilize data analytics tools and techniques to derive actionable insights for decision-making, enabling predictive maintenance, process optimization, and quality control.
• Drive Continuous Improvement: lead initiatives to enhance Io T systems and processes by gathering stakeholder feedback and monitoring industry trends and best practices.
• Ensure Compliance & Standards: adhere to relevant industry standards, regulations, and cybersecurity requirements throughout the design and implementation of Io T solutions.
• Provide Documentation & Training: create technical documentation, user manuals, and training materials to facilitate the deployment and maintenance of Io T systems, fostering knowledge transfer and skill development within the organization.

Mandatory requirements for the job are as follows

• Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.
• Minimum 7 years of working experience in the manufacturing field, Io T and Automation.
• Proven experience in the design and implementation of Io T and Automation systems, sensor integration, data acquisition systems and industrial communication protocols.
• Proficient in implementing automation solutions with PLC, HMI, and SCADA platforms
• Familiar with cybersecurity principles and best practices applying to Io T systems
• Familiar with embedded systems and embedded systems programming
• Familiar with Visual Studio and C#
• Knowledge of Io T technologies, protocols and standards (e.g., MQTT, OPC, UA, Modbus).
• Knowledge of database management (both local and in the cloud)
• Knowledge of mobile app development
• Good problem-solving skills, ability to troubleshoot complex technical problems and deliver complete, effective and efficient solutions
• Effective communication and collaboration skills

In addition to hard requirements, it’s an advantage of having the following knowledge and experience

• Cloud and edge computing platforms (e.g., AWS)
• Databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server)
• Data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
