• Manage network capacity planning to ensure sufficient bandwidth and resources to support application needs.
• Implement and manage network security best practices like vulnerability assessments, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and network segmentation.
• Analyze network security logs to identify suspicious activity and potential security threats.
• Respond to network security incidents according to established security protocols, containing and mitigating threats.
• Participate in security audits and compliance assessments to ensure adherence to security standards and regulations.
• Keep up with the latest network security threats and vulnerabilities and implement proactive security measures.
• Actively participate in project meetings and discussions, providing technical expertise related to networking, security, and operations.
• Collaborate with SDM, Service Coordinator and Service Delivery teams to ensure proper integration of network and security management within the project.
• Support knowledge transfer activities related to network and security.
• Participate in the development and maintenance of documentation for network configuration, security policies, and incident response procedures.
• Collaborate with the Database Reliability Engineer to ensure secure communication and data transfer between applications and databases.
• Communicate effectively with other project stakeholders (developers, application support engineers) to maintain network stability and address network-related issues impacting applications.
• Identify opportunities to improve network performance, security, and efficiency within the scope of the project.
• Proactively suggest and implement network automation solutions to automate network management tasks. Participate in security awareness training programs and promote a culture of security awareness within the team.

Note: The position may require international travel for periods of 3 to 6 months continuously. Candidates will be required to accept this requirement as part of the positions

• 4+ years of experience designing, implementing, and maintaining a fully operational firewall solution.
• Experience with networking technologies (routing, switching, VLANs, subnets, etc.).
• Proficiency in one or more programming/scripting languages and working with APIs.
• Advanced knowledge of information security concepts, trends, and practice.
• Advanced understanding of networking (subnetting, routing, and switching).
• Expertise with a variety of security products, including firewalls, URL filtering, and virus protection.
• Strong communication skills and ability to express technical concepts in clear and simple terms.
