Bosch first started its operations in Vietnam in 1994 and registered a wholly-owned subsidiary in 2008. According to the business strategy of Bosch in Vietnam, from 1st July 2014 on all business entities were merged into Bosch Vietnam Co. Ltd. with its head office at Ho Chi Minh City plant (Hc P) in Dong Nai Province.

Hc P has started its belt assembly in a rented building on 1st August 2008 as the assembly plant of Tilburg Plant (Tb P). On 14th April 2011, Hc P celebrated the inauguration of the new plant (Lth101 with 17,000 sqm), which did not only allow to increase the production depth, but also to facilitate the push belt assembly of this high-tech product. On 3rd July 2012 Hc P marked a big milestone by starting to produce the second component (loop-set) for its push belt. Since November 2012, Hc P doubled the production floor space and increase the net total floor space up to 56.000 m², and have successfully increased its production capacity and realized a lot of new line SOP’s.

Job Description

• Managing and sustaining process
  1.1. Involve safety activities including identifying hazards, participating in safety audits, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations
  1.2. Responsible for solving daily process problems by systematic methods (e.g. 8D)
  1.3. Responsible for designing and executing experiments to test hypotheses and optimize processes
  1.4. Responsible for demonstrating short-term and long-term process capability (Cmk, Cpk) through proficient process capability analysis and interpretation of results to identify areas for improvement
  1.5. Ownership of FMEA development and implementation as well as control plans to mitigate risks in production
  1.6. Independently develop and implement production standards. Provide comprehensive training to operator on processes, procedures, and equipment
  1.7. Define, prescribe in process data sheet and enforce process parameters
  1.8. Control, analyze consumable cost related to process as well as monitor inventory to ensure efficient use and prevent stockouts
  
• Improvement activity
  2.1. Lead process optimization initiatives using methodologies like Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, A3. Analyze process data, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions for improvement
  2.2. Drive continuous improvement projects, setting goals, leading cross-functional teams, and measuring the effectiveness of implemented changes
  2.3. Release new MAE (machine and equipment), new product, new material suppliers with role of process lead
  
• Support and collaboration
  3.1. Cooperate with BPS (Bosch Production System) coordinator in BPS maturity improvement
  3.2. Provide technical expertise and guidance to the production team
  3.3. Responsible to interface with internal associates and supplier representatives as required to complete assigned projects

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Materials, Mechanical, or Mechatronics). A Master’s degree is a plus.
• Knowledge of IATF 16949 and Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI 9).
• Problem-solving experience using a systematic approach (e.g., 8D, Kepner-Tregoe).
• Experience with Design of Experiments (Do E) and Data Analysis using statistical applications (e.g., Power BI, SQL, Minitab).
• Experience in leading continuous improvement projects.
• Experience in a leadership role involving the release of new products, new machines, or new suppliers.
• Knowledge of heat treatment processes.
• Expertise in Materials Engineering.
• Familiarity with Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Statistical Process Control (SPC).
• Strong skills in Task Management, Change Management, and Communication.
