Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Risk Analyst to join our dynamic team. As a Senior Risk Analyst, you will be responsible for overseeing and analyzing financial and market risk of coffee trading and sourcing portfolios, driving financial performance, providing strategic insights, and optimizing operational efficiencies within our coffee trading business. This position requires solid knowledge of finance and accounting, deep understanding of commodity derivatives, as well as advanced data skills to analyze complex datasets and support decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:

• Control new contract details and entries into the trading system, ensuring accuracy and completeness of contract information and commercial data
• Monitor freight exposure and risk, including analyzing freight costs, identifying potential risks, and implementing strategies to mitigate risk
• Measure and report mark-to-market value of coffee derivatives and physical trading portfolios, utilizing advanced financial modelling techniques
• Identify, assess, and quantify market risks associated with coffee trading activities, including price risk, basis risk, and volatility risk
• Develop and maintain risk models to calculate value-at-risk (Va R), stress testing scenarios, and other risk metrics to assess the potential impact of adverse market movements
• Measure and monitor credit and counterparty risk, assessing the creditworthiness of counterparties and implementing risk management measures as needed
• Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including traders, risk committees, auditors, and regulators, to provide insights into market risk exposure and mitigation strategies
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and enhancements to risk management systems, tools, and methodologies
• Utilize advanced data skills to extract, process, and analyze large datasets to inform business decisions.
