Position overview

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers through regular visits and ongoing communication to strengthen relationships.
• Collaborate with the sales team to drive and support new business development efforts.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues encountered by customers, providing timely solutions.
• Offer technical assistance for new product launches and product development initiatives.
• Conduct application testing and evaluate product performance and processes for improvement.
• Provide expert guidance to Technical and Production teams as needed to ensure smooth operations.
• Prepare detailed technical reports for customers addressing complaints or technical concerns.
• Take on additional responsibilities as assigned by your manager to support team objectives.
• Compile and submit monthly reports detailing project progress and key activities.

Required skills and experience

• 5 years of experience in an Industrial Chemist or Technical Service role; university graduates are welcomed to apply with strong exposure in composites materials.
  
• Familiarity with FRP composite materials is essential.
  
• Hands-on experience working with UPR/VE or gelcoats is highly preferred.
  
• In-depth knowledge of UPR chemistry.
  
• Proficiency in both spoken and written English.
  
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point.
  
• Strong research abilities with a solid understanding of research methodologies.
  
• Exceptional analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
  
• Strong customer focus with experience in external customer engagement.
  
• Proven troubleshooting skills to address technical challenges.
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering/Chemistry or equivalent.
