The IT department is seeking new candidates to its dynamic team. The department provides support worldwide to the Organizations all along the value chain from exploration thru site development to production.
What role you will play in our team
- As a Site Reliability Engineer you will pair traditional system administration practices with automation and software development skills to run technical applications of the Oil and Gas industry.
- Our office is located in Puerto Madero, Buenos Aires and you will interact with engineers and users from all around the world.
What you will do
- Manage and automate the operations of bare metal & virtual infrastructure.
- Develop infrastructure as code in support of existing infrastructure automation initiatives in an Agile environment.
- Proactively build and implement platforms to enable reliable business capabilities.
- Manage tools for performance monitoring, alerting, capacity and utilization management and service recovery.
- Work in close coordination with architects, engineering teams, analysts and stakeholders in a dynamic environment to translate requirements into end-to-end solutions.
- Participate in platform and systems security reviews (authorization, authentication, security best practices, etc.)
About you
- Bachelor's degree or close to graduating in Electronic Engineering, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computing Engineering, Computer Science, or similar
- Advanced English skills, verbal and written communication
- 2+ years’ experience in an Infrastructure or Site Reliability Engineering role, applying Dev Ops principles
- Experience managing Windows environments on physical and virtual infrastructure
- Proficiency in code versioning tools (e.g. Git), experience with build management and CI/CD (e.g. Azure Dev Ops, Azure Pipelines, Git Hub Repos & Actions)
- Solid scripting and coding skills oriented to automation and orchestration (e.g. Power Shell, Python, Ansible, Terraform)
- Proficiency in debugging and problem solving
Preferred Qualifications/ Experience
- Working experience in an Agile organization
- Continuous learning mindset
- Hands-on experience with programming languages
- Prior experience working with Linux (e.g. installation, configuration and administration)
- Demonstrable technical skills on backend services including setup, administration, scaling and monitoring
- Understanding of network core concepts (e.g. proxy, VLANS, Firewall, IP addressing, Express Route)
- Hands-on experience with Terraform, ARM/Cloud Formation templates or similar technologies
- General knowledge about REST API's best practices
