AMSL Diabetes Territory Business Manager - SA/NT

Meet the team:
Join our passionate Diabetes Division team as the SA/NT Territory Manager, where you will play a crucial role in driving the growth and success of our diabetes product range across South Australia and the Northern Territory. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work directly with healthcare professionals and consumers, making a meaningful impact on diabetes care in both public and private sectors. Where you come in:
  • You will promote the Diabetes Division’s product range to healthcare professionals at all levels, ensuring sales growth, excellence in service, support, and goodwill.
  • You will provide technical education, training, and support to healthcare professionals and consumers on products within your territory, including sales demonstrations, education sessions, and troubleshooting.
  • You will offer support to healthcare professionals and consumers by delivering education and training at targeted centres such as Public Hospital Diabetes Education Units, private practices, and community health centres.
  • You will optimise business opportunities within your territory by analyzing sales trends, implementing strategies, and achieving sales targets in consultation with your Regional Sales Manager (RSM).
  • You will present strategies and adjust activities to achieve planned objectives, monitoring competitor activity and market trends, and communicating relevant information to your RSM.
  • You will work effectively in your territory through Key Account Management, maintaining up-to-date data and information in the AMSL CRM, and submitting Monthly Market Reports.
  • You will create and maintain contact with Key Opinion Leaders in the diabetes market and provide tracking and project management for key designated projects.
  • You will manage your territory efficiently with respect to cost-effective travel, time, and business-related expenditure while delivering outstanding customer support.
Travel:
  • You will primarily travel within the metropolitan area of Adelaide, regional areas in South Australia, and occasionally to Darwin and Alice Springs in the Northern Territory.
  • You will establish travel coverage based on relevant statistical information, business potential, and customer needs to build and sustain business growth.
  • You will plan your territory travel in consultation with your RSM and will also engage in interstate travel to attend conferences, meetings, and events as directed by the management team.
What makes you successful:
  • You have proven sales experience in the medical device or pharmaceutical industry, with a strong background in diabetes medical sales being highly desirable.
  • You bring exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to engage and build strong business relationships with all customers.
  • You possess effective communication skills to listen and speak to individuals at all levels, coupled with the business acumen to determine and enforce strategies for key account management.
  • You have the capability to effectively train and educate others, providing innovative ideas for business growth.
  • You are proficient in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite applications.
  • You demonstrate outstanding communication, presentation, and leadership skills, with excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • You are customer-oriented with strong negotiation skills, an analytical and data-driven problem solver, and possess a high level of emotional intelligence.
  • You have a solid understanding of the company’s values and the Diabetes Division's objectives, along with the resilience, adaptability, and determination to achieve results.
  • You are self-motivated, energetic, passionate, and possess a results-driven sales focus, with experience in executing business plans and managing key accounts.
Experience and Education Requirements:
  • You have a minimum of 1-year experience in a related role, preferably in diabetes or medical device sales.
  • You possess a healthcare or science background with experience in the sales industry, particularly within the medical/healthcare sector.
  • You hold a current Driver’s License and a Working with Children’s Check.
  • You have unrestricted work rights within Australia.
