Automotive Mechanic/ Inspector

Our automotive e-commerce company is here to change the game on how people buy used cars in Australia. As a part of our facility in Laverton North, join as an Automotive Inspector inspecting newly purchased/sourced vehicles for defects and liaising with our sourcing team.
Responsibilities include:
- Inspect newly acquired used cars at the facility for mechanical/ other integrity. Sometimes this might require travelling to our partner locations
- Inspect customer trade in vehicles
- Compare condition vs our company reconditioning standards and identify actions required
- Safety check over and test drives
- Identify required item repairs and cosmetic defects
- Diagnose and fault find any issues with vehicles
- Carry out required repairs to vehicles
- Quality control and final inspection pre delivery
- A current valid driver’s licence and can drive automatics and manuals
- Mechanical Knowledge and experience required
- Time management Skills
- Previous vehicle inspection experience required
- Clear verbal and written communications
- A basic understanding of Excel / G-sheets, familiarity with i Phones / i Pads
- Self-motivated attitude, able to understand a job and work autonomously
- A personal mindset that anything is possible with the right support
- Excellent ability to collaborate between teams
