St Catherine’s has a vibrant and diverse Instrumental Music Program and we are seeking a qualified and passionate Instrumental Music Tutor (Band – clarinet, bass clarinet, trombone trumpet, sax, percussion, flute) to join our exciting and growing program. The successful applicant will deliver high quality music education in line with our school’s music program vision.

This role requires the ability to:

Teach beginner, intermediate and advanced students in small groups
Lead instrumental band ensembles (Junior and Senior)
Work collaboratively and productively with colleagues
Proven capacity to be fully engaged in the life of the school beyond the music program
Performance and/or teaching experience preferred but not essential; and Relevant qualifications.

Days and hours for this position will be negotiated dependent on student numbers. At this stage the role will be 7.5 hours preferred Thursday each week during term time.

To be eligible to be considered for this role you will:

hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement;
be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment; and
have a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic Education.
