Broiler Farm - Farm Hand

FULL TIME & CONTRACT

Broiler chicken farms located in the South East corner of Queensland are seeking a mature person to fulfill a farm hand role. The successful applicant will work alongside our on site farm manager. Our ideal applicant will have a willingness to work, will care about their job and possess the following qualities and attributes -

have worked previously in the poultry industry (desirable)
have own transport and licence
have availability 7 days (work 5 out of 7 days rolling roster)
be a practical person and able to fix things
be a "jack of all trades" type person
have basic mechanical knowledge
is able to work alone and in a team environment
be physically fit and able to stand for long periods (be able to carry buckets to approx 15kg's)
able to assist in humanely euthanizing farm animals
understand the importance of Bio Security
must not have any chickens, birds etc at home
be willing to listen and learn
be able to communicate well
enjoy the farming life
be able to survive your working day without your personal mobile phone and social media

Our ideal applicant will live local to the South East corner of Queensland and be available to work a flexible roster.
