We are currently looking for a Career Consultant to join the team in our Lower Hunter ESA, providing services in Charlestown with outreach to Mayfield and Wallsend.

As a Career Consultant your job will entail:

• Understanding and supporting clients who have barriers to employment e.g. mental and physical disabilities, to develop and achieve employment goals.
• Contacting potential employers to create and source employment opportunities for clients.
• Assisting clients to identify their skills, abilities and past transferrable experiences to obtain sustainable employment.
• Assisting clients to up-skill and seek pathways to employment by referring them to appropriate vocational and non-vocational services.
• Providing excellent customer service to clients, employers and stakeholders.
• Building rapport and lasting relationships with employers/stakeholders e.g. training services.
• Working with clients to monitor and manage their job searching efforts to meet mutual obligation requirements with Centrelink.
• Maintaining client records with a high level of accuracy and detail.
• Working within a team to achieve a common goal.
