Venue Location: The Beach Hotel Stradbroke Island

Remuneration: Starting minimum $31.23 (Level 2 HIGA) up to $37.05 (Level 6 HIGA) plus penalties
Accommodation: Shared staff accommodation is available for $200 per week. All bills included (electricity, water and wi-fi). Across the road from Cylinder Beach, walking distance to the hotel.
About the roles
We are recruiting multiple passionate and motivated Chefs of all levels, Cooks, Commis Chef, Chef de Partie and Kitchen Hands to join our kitchen team on either a full time, casual or summer contract basis.
Reporting to the Head Chef you will be responsible for food preparation and presentation, providing support to other kitchen team members, assembling ingredients for cooking, and general cleaning duties within the kitchen.
Required skills and experience

• Previous experience in similar environment essential
• Certificate III or IV in Professional Cookery (desirable)
• High standards of food preparation, food presentation and food service
• Flexible across a rotating roster including late nights and weekends
• Can communicate effectively and work in a team
• Follow food hygiene and health and safety procedures

The Beach Hotel is an undisputed treasure. Nestled on North Stradbroke Island, it boasts a breathtaking location overlooking the pristine Cylinder Beach, offering an unparalleled ocean vista that few, if any, hotels in the country can rival. The hotel's current amenities include 15 on-site accommodation rooms, a bistro, bars, an inviting beer garden, versatile function/events spaces, and a gaming room featuring 15 EGMs. Additionally, the venue boasts two detached bottle shops on the Island and a convenient on-site drive-thru bottle shop.
Excitingly, in 2025, The Beach Hotel is set to undergo a transformative renovation. This ambitious endeavour aims to elevate the hotel to a position of distinction as one of Australia's most unique and sought-after hospitality venues and premier tourism destinations.
