Clinical Nurse Consultant – Virtual Emergency, Critical Care & Close Observation
Western Virtual Division

About the role
In recognition of your advanced clinical knowledge and experience in Emergency & Critical Care Nursing you will provide guidance, complex case management, and care coordination as an extension of our rural and remote clinical teams across 38 hospitals and health services.

You will provide expert clinical coordination, leadership and mentorship, and consultancy services within the area of emergency, critical care, and close observation in a virtual context. Seen as a connected leader for our rural and remote nursing teams, you will join a small team where through support and mentorship you will develop relationships, and together, you will achieve amazing outcomes.

Western Virtual Division has two primary hub locations – Dubbo & Orange, NSW. We are open to considering suitable applicants for this role external to the LHD as virtual service delivery enables work location flexibility with the expectation you spend time in our amazing region.

WNSWLHD Virtual Division is a supportive, agile, and innovative team, with a great reputation for successfully delivering innovative models of care in response to people across the region. The Division provides Emergency and Critical Care Services, Close Observation Acute Inpatient Care, Care in Community programs and Allied Health. Our clinical services are delivered with our Emergency Physician and Rural Generalist medical teams both virtually and through hybrid working models.

As a service, it operates, collaborating with rural and remote facilities, base hospitals, tertiary referral hospitals, Ambulance New South Wales, and all clinicians involved in the delivery of patient centred care. To maintain recency of practice and strengthen relationships there will be face to face clinical practice in our district hospital ED or CCU from time to time, which we will facilitate.
