We are looking for a hard-working Cook who is passionate about food to join our growing team at the North Nowra Tavern. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, has a positive attitude and a growth mindset. There is a lot of potential to grow in this role and within the group.
We are looking for a team member who is passionate about producing great food, from pub classics to fresh & seasonal specials. Qualifications & Experience
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $74,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year

Qualifications & Experience
- Experience as a Cook in all sections is required
- Understanding of stock control and waste minimisation
- Knowledge of all kitchen procedures, food handling and workplace safety.
- Food safety certificate
- Set up the kitchen with cooking utensils and equipment, like knives, pans and kitchen scales
- Study each recipe and gather all necessary ingredients
- Cook food in a timely manner
- Delegate tasks to kitchen staff
- Inform wait staff about daily specials
- Ensure appealing plate presentation
- Slightly modify recipes to meet customers’ needs and requests (e.g. reduce salt, remove dairy)
- Monitor food stock and place orders
- Check freshness of food and discard out-of-date items
- Experiment with recipes and suggest new ingredients
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $74,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
