Job Title: Dishwasher/Kitchenhand

Job Summary:
The Dishwasher/Kitchenhand is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment within the kitchen. This role is essential in ensuring a smooth and efficient operation of the kitchen.
Key Responsibilities:

• Dishwashing:
• Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans using dishwashers or by hand.
• Scrape food particles from dishes and utensils.
• Load and unload dishwashing machines.
• Sort and stack clean dishes, utensils, and cookware.
• Maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of dishwashing areas, including sinks, counters, and floors.
• Monitor dishwashing chemicals and ensure proper usage.
• Kitchenhand Duties:
• Assist with basic food preparation tasks, such as chopping vegetables, peeling potatoes, or portioning ingredients.
• Clean and sanitize work surfaces, equipment, and utensils.
• Remove trash and garbage from the kitchen area.
• Sweep and mop floors.
• Stock supplies, such as food, paper products, and cleaning supplies.
• Assist with other kitchen duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work efficiently and quickly in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Basic food safety and sanitation knowledge.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects.
• Ability to work in a hot and humid environment.
