Perisher
Electrician (Year-Round)

- Rate of pay commensurate with experience and qualifications, between $40.68 - $49.57 per hour base

This role is based at Perisher, the largest ski resort in the Southern Hemisphere, located in the beautiful Snowy Mountains region of South-Eastern NSW and just a two-hour drive from Canberra and the Far South Coast. Perisher is part of Vail Resorts who own and operate ski areas including iconic resorts including Falls Creek and Hotham in Australia as well as Park City, Beaver Creek, Whistler Blackcomb and Vail in North America.
Reporting to the Mountain Electrical Manager, two positions have arisen for a qualified Electrician to join the Perisher team in a year-round full-time role. As a Mountain Electrician you will ensure the safe operation and maintenance of all of Perisher’s lifting systems including chairlifts, surface lifts and conveyors.
In a typical day in this role, you might:
- Perform scheduled and non-scheduled maintenance and repair of ski lifts, snowmaking plant and associated equipment
- Attend emergency breakdowns and callouts
- Assist with electrical installation, modification, repairs and testing on various assets
- Repair, install and maintain commercial and domestic appliances, data, telephones, television and communication systems
- Participate in the day-to-day maintenance and cleaning of department vehicles and plant
- Report on and record work and events carried out or observed
- A Certificate III in Electrotechnology
- Experience working in the alpine environment
- A current Driver's Licence
- Experience and confidence working at heights
