Equestrian Clothing Technical Product Developer

The Role:
As a Technical Product Developer, you will be the bridge between design and production, ensuring that all riding apparel meets our high standards for fit, functionality, and performance. You will manage the technical development process, from initial concept through to production approval, while keeping a sharp focus on quality, cost, and timelines.
Key Responsibilit Product Development:
- Create on-brand and innovative products to fit the needs for the modern rider
- You will be responsible for range planning of equestrian riding apparel, mainly for women, from research, to idea, to sample and through to production alongside our production manager.
- Maintain and monitor development timelines to ensure product launches are on schedule.
- Proactively identify and address potential delays or challenges in the production process.
- Have a keen eye for new apparel trends and technical innovations, from fabrics to fibre fills, new fabric suppliers and more.
- Create and manage sketches and tech packs for manufacturers, ensuring clear communication of design intent and technical requirements.
- Conduct fit sessions, evaluate samples and reiterate until ready for production
- Analyse feedback of current range for future improvements
- Research new fabrics and technical apparel developments to see how they can be incorporated into our horse and rider wear ranges
- Have the ability to think outside the box when it comes to solving the problems of a modern day riders.
- Oversee wear-testing and field trials to validate product performance.
- 2+ years of sports apparel production development and design
- Previous management of cohesive range planning and fabric development ideal
- Experience working with Asia-based factories seamlessly
- Proven experience in technical product development, ideally in performance or equestrian apparel.
- Strong knowledge of sports garment construction, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with cross-functional teams and suppliers.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, CAD software, and other relevant tools.
- A passion for technical garment development
- Understanding or equestrian experience not necessary but an interest to learn is a must.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
