We are currently seeking an Expeditor to join our busy national team. This role is based in Perth, Western Australia.
Responsibilities include:
- Respond to request on lead time, order status, delivery, and availability where applicable
- Manage reports on a weekly basis for our Supply Chain team usage
- Flag international shipment delays for further investigation
- Respond to expediting e-mails, reports and assigned tickets from customer centres and sale channels
- Track orders for incoming shipments and backorders
- Work closely with Freight management teams to expedite urgent requirements
- Maintain compliance documentation
- Maintain a courteous and professional demeanour and communication with customer centres and internal staff at all times
- Participate in employee development programs including product and application training, business and personal development opportunities
Requirements:
- Previous Supply chain experience and a good understanding of the end to end process
- Mining and/or construction industries experience is highly preferred
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Word, Excel and Outlook is required
- Must be self-motivated, detail oriented and highly organised
- Ability to work as part of a busy national team
- Experience in expediting and/or purchasing of components as well as equivalent work is desirable.
- Experience working with ERP/WMS is desirable.
- Knowledge of Australian and international freight routing is preferred
