Financial Accountant - Motion Chullora - Full Time

We are currently seeking a Financial Accountant who will report into a Financial Accounting Manager and oversee the accounting function of specific entities within our business.

Your responsibilities include:

Accurate and timely preparation and processing of general journal entries
Preparation of monthly financial accounts for a number of business units
Ensuring all month end tasks are completed in a timely manner and to a high standard
Analyse the business units financial information and be able to explain major movements
Ensuring the integrity of relevant business units balance sheet and P&L by ensuring all reconciliations are prepared and reconciling differences cleared in a timely manner
Respond to all month end queries in a timely manner
Assist the tax team for any tax compliance related matters
Assisting with the overall month end close for Motion, as required
Assist with the various audits (internal, external and Sox) in ensuring all audit requirements are met

To be successful in your role you need to:

Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline with either CA, CPA or another equivalent accreditation preferred.
Excellent proven problem solving and analytical abilities
Aptitude for numbers and strong attention to detail
Engage with others collaboratively, and work to a high standard with accuracy and punctuality
Enjoy working as part of a high-performing team in a fast-paced environment dealing with multiple stakeholders
Computer literacy with software such as: MS Office (particularly Excel), Pronto, Peoplesoft, Microsoft Dynamics or Tm1
