We are seeking a mechanically minded individual to join our existing team at our Cromer site on Sydney’s Northern Beaches.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Reporting to the Fitting Shop Supervisor this role will include bench fitting and assembly and testing of all products.
• Examine detailed drawings or specifications to find out job, material and equipment requirements.
• Set up and adjust metalworking machines and equipment.
• Operate machines to produce parts or tools by turning, boring, milling, planning, shaping, slotting, grinding or drilling metal stock or components.
• Fit and assemble metal parts, tools or sub-assemblies, including the welding or brazing of parts.
• Dismantle faulty tools and assemblies and repair or replace defective parts.
• Check accuracy and quality of finished parts, tools or sub-assemblies.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Your experience and qualifications

• Trade qualifications preferable
• High regard for safety in the workplace
• Problem solving for continuous improvement
• Minimum 2 years’ experience working in a mechanical trade
• Work within a Team environment to ensure optimal value is delivered to the customer
• Ability to meet physical requirements including; a variety of standing, sitting and walking throughout the day.

Pay: $33.00 – $40.00 per hour
