The Role
The CNC Machinist is responsible for programming, troubleshooting, CNC turning and milling machines. This role will require running of CNC Vertical, Horizontal and Lathes.

The Role
The CNC Machinist is responsible for programming, troubleshooting, CNC turning and milling machines. This role will require running of CNC Vertical, Horizontal and Lathes.
Reporting to the Machining Team Leader, you will be required to:
- Read, interpret and understand engineering drawings
- Read and understand machining programs and operational drawings/documentation
- The ability to set machines and tooling via manufacturing pack
- Operate CNC machines to produce high quality, high tolerance products
- Multi task
- Be a team contributor with driving continuous improvement with our Production processes
This diverse role is suited to a self-motivated individual who works well with a team environment. Strong verbal and written communication skills and a background in CNC machining, in a diverse, fast paced manufacturing environment are essential qualities for success in this role.
You will also have:
- High regard for Safety in the workplace
- Trade qualification in CNC Machining
- Problem solving for continuous improvement using Lean principles and tools
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in CNC Machining on Lathes, Vertical and Horizontal Machine Centres
- Experience with visually and physically inspecting components to correct specifications and tolerances using different methods of measurement and completing full dimensional checks
- CAD/CAM or programming experience would be beneficial
- Experience with setting and machining castings forgings is desirable
- Work within a Team environment to ensure optimal value is delivered to the customer
- 17.5% leave loading
- Onsite parking

- Workday of 6.50am – 3.00pm, potential opportunity for additional hours
