We are currently looking for Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander individuals eager to start their careers in grounds maintenance and landscaping.
Position: Grounds Maintenance Apprentice
Type: Full-time Apprenticeship (1-2 years)
Qualification: Fee-free Certificate III in Parks and Gardens
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting in maintaining grounds, gardens, and outdoor facilities
- Operating and maintaining tools and equipment, including lawnmowers and trimmers
- Planting, weeding, pruning, and general upkeep of landscaped areas
- Supporting a team to ensure grounds are safe, clean, and visually appealing
- Learning about pest management, soil care, and sustainable gardening techniques
- Comprehensive on-the-job training with industry professionals
- A supportive work environment that values diversity and inclusivity
