The Role
High Rope Adventurer

SWELL Palmerston are on the look out for a fun, energetic and adventurous high ropes team. The high ropes course is a water based harnessed activity that will be the first of its kind in Australia and one of only a few worldwide!

We are looking for team members who can encourage and lead fellow adventurers to have fun on this exciting activity, with a health and safety focus.

Key Duties

• Harnessing members of the public with flare and personality
• Helping people onto and throughout their rope course adventure
• Performing safety briefings to users
• Making sure there is no mis-use of equipment and everyone is safe
• Conducting daily safety checks
• Ensuring that equipment is kept clean and tidy and in good working order

Key Attributes

• We are looking for people who:
• Are prepared to work at heights and get wet (Full training provided – you must pass an operators course that involves rescuing people at heights)
• Be safety focused
• Be understanding and patient with people who may need help with the course
• Must be 17 years of age or over
• Be able to bring the fun!

Full training provided for successful applicants including life guard / first aid / CPR / High ropes operation and Working at heights


The Venue


Swell has been undergoing extensive renovations, which consist of new activities such as a high ropes course, warm water pool, learn to swim pool, 50 metre pool and zero depth splash pad as well as works carried out in the health club. It’s a very exciting opportunity to join our team and make a difference within the Palmerston community.


Essential:

• Current First Aid (Level 2)
• Current CPR Certificate
• National Police Check
• Working with Children's Check
• Current Pool Lifeguard Certificate - Lifeguards and Duty Managers
• Current Pool Operations Certificate - Duty Managers only

We know times are tough out there at the moment for everyone and having to pay for a qualification isn't easy. So if you're still keen to join our company and become a lifeguard, we will be happy to pay for your qualification. We run lifeguard, First Aid, CPR and swim teacher courses through Belgravia Academy. Our qualified trainers and assessors will ensure you are fully trained and qualified to become a lifeguard.
