Connect IT Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join our team in our Melbourne office. As a Business Analyst, you will be responsible for analysing business requirements, identifying solutions, and communicating recommendations to key stakeholders. This is a full-time position with opportunities for growth and development within the organisation.
What you'll be doing

• Liaise with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements
• Analyse business processes and identify areas for improvement. Understand the current business processes and document the current workflows and systems using techniques like flowcharts, BPMN ( Business Process Model and Notation) or swimlane diagrams to visualize the process flow
• Analyse existing data such as process performance metrics to identify where bottlenecks or inefficiencies exist
• Perform Gap analysis to compare the current system functionality with the desired state or future business needs
• Design and document functional and technical specifications
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure solutions meet business needs
• Lead and manage end-to-end project lifecycle for IT initiatives, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget
• Facilitate ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, release planning, showcases, retrospectives, etc.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, including schedules, resources, and budgets, aligning with the company’s strategic goals
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, including senior management to define project objectives and deliverables
• Develop comprehensive test plans to validate that the system meets specified requirements and functions correctly. This includes defining test objectives, criteria, and procedures to ensure thorough coverage
• Provide support during the implementation and testing phases of projects
• Create user manuals and training materials to facilitate user adoption
• Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented solutions
• Serve as the go-to person for all information related to the system project. Help facilitate decision-making meetings by providing necessary data, clarifying questions, and ensuring that all relevant factors are considered
• Provide training or resources to team members and stakeholders to ensure they understand the system and can effectively contribute to the decision-making process

What we're looking for

• Minimum 8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in the Information & Communication Technology industry
• A Bachelor degree or higher qualification in Business, Information Technology or a related field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Proficiency in business process modelling and documentation
• Experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools
• Familiarity with business intelligence and data analysis tools
• Experience managing project teams across multiple locations, including remote resources
