Infrastructure & Software Engineer

The opportunity
Due to ongoing growth and success of the firm, Nexia Sydney have an exciting opportunity to join our team as an IT Infrastructure & Software Engineer. You will be reporting to the Head of IT and work with the team on implementing and managing the firm's software and providing data analytics support.

The role

• Maintain existing systems and perform data migrations
• Implement and manage software and updates, ensuring compliance with security and quality standards
• Identifying improvements advice on software design proposals and strategies
• Research and evaluate software requirements
• Manage database administration, including configuration and reporting
• Test database systems to meet security and disaster recovery standards
• Build and maintain relationships with internal clients to understand their needs
• Fulfil commitments to clients and keep the team informed of relevant issues
• Support or lead projects on software procurement, including managing tenders and supplier negotiations
• Develop solutions to enhance processes and reduce costs
• Provide user training and ongoing support
• Identify additional services for clients and communicate these ideas.
• Conduct software testing, fix errors, and make necessary modifications
• Ensure accurate database design and maintain documentation

About you

• Experience with cloud software and infrastructure
• Proven ability to implement and manage new software solutions
• Familiarity with CSM or practice management software
• Desirable exposure to data analytics tools (e.g., Python)
• Experience in conducting internal training is a plus
• Relevant degree in Information Systems or a similar field
• Microsoft Certified IT Professional in Azure/Office 365
• Proficient with technology, demonstrating advanced skills in the firm's technology suite
• Strong understanding of software and data, with the ability to share knowledge effectively
• Knowledge of IT standards, legal requirements, and best practices
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Minimum 5 years of IT experience
