We are currently seeking experienced Laundry Assistants to join the team providing support services at Bethanie Fields Aged Care Home located in Eaton. Co-located with a retirement village, Bethanie Fields is a 160 bed facility designed specifically to provide support for people who need 24 hour care, including those with special care needs and dementia.
To be successful in this role, you will have experience in laundering practices ideally in an aged care, hospital or similar environment, and be of a friendly nature, as interaction with our residents is core to our culture.
This role is offered on a permanent part time basis working the following roster, with the ability to pick up additional shifts as they become available:
Week 1 Sunday 8am - 12pm
Week 2 Saturday 8am - 1pm, Sunday 10am - 2pm
About You

Previous experience working as a Laundry Assistant, ideally in an aged care, hospital or similar environment
Have a ‘can do’ attitude and a genuine compassion for our residents
Reliable with a strong work ethic
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Willingness to uphold the Mission, Vision and Values of The Bethanie Group
Willingness to obtain relevant vaccinations
Current NDIS Worker Screening Check or National Police Clearance (or willingness to apply for one)

The Role

Ensuring all laundry and linen is laundered correctly and infection control practices are adhered to
Sorting and washing linen by wash temperature, colour, degree of soiling, infectious nature, fabric and fibre
Loading and unloading washing machines and tumble dryers
Sorting and folding clean and dry linen
Reporting damage or wear and recommending repairs or replacement
