Cowell Clarke is a specialist commercial law firm based in Adelaide and Sydney. We act for clients in all sectors of business and industry in Australia and internationally.
What are we looking for?
We are seeking 2nd, 3rd or 4th year law students to be available to work two consecutive days per week to commence in the new year. In addition to your outstanding academic results, you will possess highly refined skills in analysis and research. This is an ideal opportunity for a highly motivated and commercially astute team player who can learn quickly. Candidates who are able to demonstrate a keen interest in tax with a view to specialising in this area will be highly considered. Some key responsibilities will include:
  • Legal research
  • Review, analyse and summarise documentation
  • Draft legal correspondence and advice
  • Attend client meetings and video conferences
  • Collaborate with team on technical issues
  • Attend networking events

What to expect
In joining our leading Tax & Revenue team you will be provided with one-on-one training and supervision by highly experienced tax practitioners. In addition to gaining broad tax and commercial experience you will also work with self-managed superannuation fund trustees and assist high net worth clients with sophisticated succession planning strategies.
