The discipline of Computing and Security within the School of Science has a program of high-quality computer science teaching and research. ECU has a world recognised profile in research in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML): this position will enhance this profile, by appointing a suitable candidate who can contribute to the research activities of our Centre for Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (CAIML). The research within CAIML orients around key thematic areas of artificial intelligence, machine learning, computer vision and data mining.

We are currently seeking applicants for a key position, directly supporting our computer science education portfolio – in particular, our in-person, on-line, accelerated and remote campuses both domestic and international. Applicants must have a strong technical capability in computer science and their research interests should align with at least one of the CAIML priority areas.

This position offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated academic to pursue teaching and research in a growing area of global strategic importance, and to be a leader not just within ECU, but nationally and internationally.

Applications are encouraged from those who have at least three years of post-Ph D academic experience including teaching and learning responsibilities and a proven research track record commensurate with the level of appointment.

Benefits & Remuneration
This position attracts remuneration of $113,918 - $134,596 (ALEVB) plus 17% University superannuation contribution and will be paid in proportion to hours worked as negotiated with the successful candidate.
