About the role
As the Logistic Chief, you will play a pivotal role in optimising our logistics operations and managing the day-to-day activities of our front of house operations. You will be responsible for coordinating the movement of vehicles, containers, managing schedules and providing exceptional customer service. This is a dynamic role with no 2 days the same.

The right candidate will demonstrate
· Minimum Grad Cert in Logistics or 3 years proven experience in logistics management
· Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and support a team in a dynamic environment.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach.
· Ability to multitask, prioritise tasks, and adapt to changing priorities.
Some of your responsibilities:
· J.I.T arrangement of export container loading and delivery.
· Plan and delegate daily/weekly/monthly collection appointments with drivers and Internal Sales Chief
· Deliver cost savings through continuous improvement through vehicle scheduling and route planning.
· Vehicle performance monitoring, record keeping, and improvement of collection runs and service delivery.
· Manage a team of drivers and support staff, providing guidance and performance evaluations as needed.
· Assisting the Site Unit Manager with timely planning and organising of export containers by contacting local preferred logistics companies in delivering and collecting containers for exports.
· Assist the Customer Service and Administration Coordinator with the incoming calls, orders, entries into the ERP.
· Assist with communication to all customers if their store is going to be missed.
· Assist the Customer Service and Administration Coordinator with the upkeep of the database and various systems to ensure accurate information is captured.
· Capturing weights required by export agents for PRA purposes, counting and categorise receivables for invoicing purposes

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $65,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
