The Ritz-Carlton, Melbourne is seeking a dynamic and passionate Lounge & Bar Manager to manage the operations of The Ritz-Carlton Lobby Lounge & Cameo Bar. This role will be responsible for managing and overseeing both bar & lobby lounge daily shift operations and supervision of employees, at the same time ensuring that our lobby lounge/bar deliver service excellence and maintaining the highest standards of quality and guest satisfaction.
Responsibilities:

Manage the daily operations of the Lobby Lounge & Cameo Bar, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
Roster, lead, train, and motivate the lounge and bar team to provide exceptional guest experiences.
Develop and implement creative strategies to enhance revenue and drive guest engagement.
Understands & manage beverage control including days on hand, perpetual inventory, bar pars, portion control, costs controls, beverage potentials, mix of sales analysis for beverage, issue & returns, food standards, and period end inventory.
Manages in compliance with all local, state and Federal beverage and liquor laws.
Oversee the preparation and presentation of all beverages, ensuring adherence to The Ritz-Carlton's luxurious standards.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain cleanliness and organization.
Handle guest inquiries and complaints promptly,
Collaborate with the culinary team to offer innovative food and beverage pairings.
Monitor and analyze financial performance, adjusting operations to meet budgetary goals.
Foster a positive working environment, encouraging teamwork and professional growth.
Supports a departmental orientation program for employees to receive the appropriate new hire training to successfully perform their job.

About You:

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
Full time working rights required.
RSA Certificate required.
Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within a luxury hotel or high-end bar.
Strong leadership and team management skills with a hands-on approach.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining luxury service excellence and absolute attention to detail.
Extensive knowledge of beverage operations, including wine, cocktails, and spirits.
Passion for delivering high-quality service and creating memorable guest experiences.
