Mobile automation tester

- Test Automation:
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for mobile applications using Appium.
- Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline to ensure continuous delivery quality.
- Perform automated regression, functional, and performance testing on mobile apps.
- Test Planning and Execution:
- Analyze product requirements to identify test scenarios and create test plans.
- Collaborate with developers and product teams to understand app functionalities and user flows.
- Execute and monitor test cases to validate app performance and reliability.
- Defect Tracking and Reporting:
- Identify, report, and manage defects using tools like JIRA or Bugzilla.
- Work with developers to reproduce and resolve issues promptly.
- Tool and Framework Development:
- Enhance and optimize the existing test automation framework.
- Stay updated on the latest automation tools and best practices.
- Collaboration and Documentation:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure app quality.
- Document test strategies, results, and any potential issues in a clear, concise manner.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency with Appium for mobile app automation on Android and i OS platforms.
- Strong programming skills in Java, Python, or Java Script (depending on the framework).
- Experience with mobile testing frameworks like Test NG, JUnit, or XCUITest.
- Familiarity with device cloud testing platforms like Browser Stack, Sauce Labs, or Kobiton.
- Knowledge of version control systems such as Git.
- Experience:
- 2-5 years of hands-on experience in mobile automation testing.
- Solid understanding of mobile app architecture and testing strategies.
- Familiarity with tools for API testing (e.g., Postman, Rest Assured) is a plus.
- Other Skills:
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies, STLC, and Agile processes.
- Ability to debug and troubleshoot application issues effectively.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields.
- ISTQB Mobile Testing Certification (optional).
- Certifications in Appium or mobile app development/testing tools are a plus.
Contract length: 6 months
Pay: $465.83 – $750.00 per day
