Weeks worked: School term weeks only (holidays unpaid)

Total Paid Hours (per week) & days required: 1 day per week + 3 ensembles for remainder of 2024. Could grow further in 2025.

Salary level, range or hourly rate: An hourly rate negotiated with the successful applicant(School Salary Scale)/(Services Salary Scale)

Mt Maria College, North Brisbane’s first Catholic Co-Educational College, was established in 1978. As a member of Marist Schools Australia, our educational philosophy is based on the teachings of St Marcellin Champagnat, the founder of the Marist Order. Mt Maria College Mitchelton has an extensive and exciting Music Program that’s undergoing rapid development. We are seeking a passionate, experienced Music Instructor (Percussion) that displays initiative and creativity in planning to join our team from Term 4 2024.

This involves interacting with students, staff and parents in an appropriate manner as well as contributing to effective processes and practices in keeping with the values of ethos of the school and designed to accomplish the desired outcomes of the specific programs.

Depending on the nature of the Music program, the role may also involve interacting with personnel and organisations outside the school community and developing partnerships that enhance results for students.

To be eligible to be considered for this role you will:

Hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement;
Be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment; and
Have a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic Education.
