About the Role
Canberra Grammar School is seeking expressions of interest from passionate and highly competent Visiting Music Teachers interested in joining our Music Department. Our Visiting Music Teachers are responsible for delivering a high standard of music lessons to students of a variety of ages across our Primary and Senior Schools, as well as preparing students for their recitals and other performance opportunities within the school calendar.
The instruments on which the school offers individual tuition by a Visiting Music Teacher are: Violin, Viola, Cello, Double Bass, Electric Guitar, Classical Guitar, Singing, Piano, Flute, Clarinet, Oboe, Bassoon, Saxophone, Trumpet, Trombone, French Horn, Tuba, Percussion, Organ, and Bagpipes.
About You
You are dedicated, passionate and possess the following:

Previous experience teaching the Australian Music Examinations Board (AMEB) syllabus.
Demonstrated recent participation in masterclasses, public recitals and/or performances.
Experience in one on one and group lessons.
Administrative and organisational skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
The ability to work collaboratively with other members of staff, parents, and students.
Public liability insurance and an ABN

All team members at CGS are required to have:

Appropriate qualifications
A valid ACT Working with Vulnerable People Card
A current National Police Check; and
Full working rights within Australia.
