National Growth and Sales Director

Role description:
Are you a strategic leader with a passion for driving growth and sales? Arcadis is seeking an exceptional National Growth & Sales Director to spearhead our expansion efforts and elevate our market presence.
As the National Growth & Sales Director, you will be at the forefront of shaping and executing our national growth strategy. You will lead and inspire a high-performing sales team, leverage existing key client relationships, and drive initiatives that significantly impact our bottom line.
The successful candidate will be responsible for profitably growth sales and diversify solutions & services portfolio of the whole country and over the next 3-5 years double the size of the Australian business to firmly cement Arcadis Australia as a highly profitable tier one consultant.
This role will report directly to the Global Business Area Growth and Sales Director with a dotted line to the Business Area Director for Australia.
The National Growth and Sales Director will lead the Sales, Solutions and Market Sector community and have a number of direct reports including Country Pursuits Lead, Market Sector & Solution Leads.
The main responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:
As a Lead Country Sales you will have:
- Ultimate accountability of all sectors and accounts hosted in Country to meet and exceed the Country Sales target, as well as a personal growth target
- Lead by example with strong external brand and outward focus in winning work, either through track record in delivery in core growth areas (Transportation, Energy Transition, Defence and Social Infrastructure) or through winning projects in these areas.
- Strong personal brand in the core growth areas, which can be leveraged through existing client relationships at senior levels and thought leadership in target growth areas to increase sales.
- Lead and inspire a senior team of Sector and Solution leads.

You will have:
- Bachelor or Master's degree in Engineering (or Business and/or other related professional backgrounds as long as he/she has the required experience in the industry), or related Specialist Technical Field
- At least 20+ years of experience in market to opportunity, pursuit to win, or project delivery and account and client management within a multinational engineering or professional services firm.
- Demonstrated experience as an industry leader with strong reputation and presence in the new growth markets in country, including Energy Transition, Defence, and Social Infrastructure including Health.
- Demonstrated a proven track record of developing and implementing sales strategies to profitably grow client accounts.
- Able to demonstrate significant leadership capability, robust business acumen and the ability to inspire multi-disciplinary teams around a common purpose.
- Strong depth and breath of experience in core areas of Design and Engineering, as well of growth areas including Asset Management, Technical Advisory and Project and Program Management.
- Ambitious mindset and a strong drive to grow the business and meet targets.
- Ability to inspire and enthuse pursuit and account teams to bring their best.
- Entrepreneurial attitude and strategic focus with strong commercial drive and decisiveness.
