The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Nurse Educator (Children's Critical Care) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will

• Plan, develop and implement learning and development activities
• Facilitate role development and career advice for nursing staff
• Lead Practice Development Nurses for consistent education delivery
• Demonstrate advanced clinical skills in the management of the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit

About you

To be successful in this position you will require:

• Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent
• Registration with the Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia
• Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
• Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
• Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
• Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary

• Permanent full time
• Base salary ranging from $132,562 - $143,924 per annum

The Children's Critical Care Unit (CCCU) provides intensive care for children from birth to the end of schooling, who require specialist intensive care due to illness, accident or following a procedure (elective or emergency). The service accepts patients from all Gold Coast areas and surrounds including northern New South Wales.
