Online Youth Career Consultants provide digital career support to young people through Orygen’s MOST digital support platform. This role will use a variety of strategies to engage young people in career support activities within the online platform.

This is a part-time (0.6 FTE) contract until April 2025.

Online Youth Career Consultants provide digital career support to young people through Orygen’s MOST digital support platform. This role will use a variety of strategies to engage young people in career support activities within the online platform.
Reporting to the National Manager – MOST Career Programs you will:
- Build state and regional education, training, and employment knowledge to share with the national team and to provide digital career support via MOST.
- Welcome and support young people on MOST and clarify scope of career practice.
- Provide individualised career development services that support young people. This may include research, career planning, assisting with access to educational opportunities (secondary studies, vocational training and apprenticeships or tertiary studies), employability skills and supporting young people to gain and maintain employment.
- Identifying and informing Career National Manager and clinical staff about any risk issues and concerns related to MOST clients.
You are passionate, energetic and determined to make a difference to health and wellbeing outcomes for young people. The following criteria must be met for consideration for this position:
- Tertiary qualifications in Career Education, Career Development, or relevant discipline.
- Eligible for membership to the Career Development Association of Australia (CDAA) or Certificate IV in Training and Assessment would be desirable.
- Experience in career counselling, employment services, vocational rehabilitation, or a related field.
- Experience providing career-planning advice to young people.
- Extensive knowledge of issues that impact young people when accessing employment and/or educational opportunities.
- Salary up to $77,500 pro rata commensurate with skills and experience pro rata p.a + 11.5% super + NFP salary packaging up to $15,900 & $2,600 for meals and entertainment.
- Ability to purchase additional leave; access to EAP; generous Parental Leave Scheme.
