Mount Isa Mines are currently advertising for an Operator to join the Copper Concentrator- Operations team. This is an excellent opportunity to further your experience and develop your technical skills and industry knowledge. This position has eligibility for a $5,000 sign on bonus.

The Role
Mount Isa Mines are currently advertising an opportunity that exists for the role of Met Plant Attendant. Reporting to the Supervisor- Copper Concentrator, your primary responsibility involves you to contribute to the safe production of Copper Concentrator to the standard required using a comprehensive range of operating skills.

This position is residentially based in Mount Isa. The work roster is 7 Days, 7 Off, 7 Nights, 7 Off

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Operational areas including fill plants, tailings processing, concentrate filtering as well as grinding and flotation assets.
Working closely with Maintenance and Metallurgical teams to ensure that set targets are met, and that the operation runs efficiently.
Develop and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

The successful candidate will possess:

Self-motivated and flexible with a high standard of work
A pro-active approach to safety and continuous improvement
Sound Communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively within a small team.
A current Australian manual driver’s license
Milling and Flotation experience is essential.
Control room experience will be highly regarded.
