The Candidate:
The right candidate will be someone who possesses detailed experience and understanding of all aspects of powder coating . You will be a hardworker who enjoys working alongside others to achieve great results. We are looking for someone who is highly motivated and can perform their job in a calm and steady manner. You will be working as part of a small team so interpersonal skills and a willingness to help others and vice versa are just as important as your hard skills.
The Role:
We require a person with prior experience in powder coater and/or general surface finishing. We produce a wide variety of components in our factory. These are mainly aluminium and brass based requiring powder coating or other surface treatments.
Day to day duties include
- Surface preparation (Tumble, Sand Blast, Pre-treatment tanks)
- Powder Coating & spray painting
- Oven loading & unloading
- Color matching using DULUX color sets
- Varnish application and removal
- Using small hand tools such as mixers, sanders, spray applicators.
- Maintain high attention to detail ensuring accuracy and quality.
- Maintaining and monitoring equipment.
- Clean equipment and work areas according to WHS standards
- Be able work cooperatively as part of a small team
- A willingness to upskill and learn more processes such as brass aging is essential. We are continually developing new products and as such our production processes must evolve.
Experience & Qualifications:
- All candidates will be considered.
- At least 5 years prior experience in painting, surface preparation and/or powder coating is required.
