Position Description:
The Painter at Fine Touch Painting And Decorating will be responsible for applying various finishes to buildings and structures, which include paint, appearance of surfaces.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, and
removing old paint. Mix and match paint and other finishes to desired colour and texture.
Apply paint, varnish, wallpaper, and other finishes to various surfaces, using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.
Ensure surfaces are protected and prepared appropriately before
application.
Measure, cut, and apply wallpaper or fabric to walls.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment by adhering to safety and health rules. Collaborate with other team members to ensure that work is completed according to the project specifications and timelines.
Consult with clients and team members regarding colour schemes and choice of
materials.
Carry out minor maintenance and repair tasks, such as patching drywall and
sealing corners.
Manage paint supplies and inventory, ensuring that tools and materials are
available as needed.
Skills and Abilities:
Australian Citizens and Permanent Residents are encouraged to apply.
Certificate III in Painting and Decorating.
2 years of relevant experience as a painter.
Need white card.
Car.
Australian driving licence.
Thorough knowledge of painting and decorating techniques.
Strong attention to detail and an eye for colour.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Good physical condition to perform manual work, including bending, kneeling, and lifting.
