What You Will Be Doing
This role is a combination of advanced musculoskeletal physiotherapy (AMP) clinics with a senior clinician OAHKS role. The Osteoarthritis Hip & Knee Service (OAHKS) was introduced at Peninsula Health in 2006 to assist in the early identification, assessment, prioritisation and management of patients referred to the Orthopaedic Outpatient Clinic with osteoarthritis of the hip or knee. The OAHKS Senior Clinician holds a predominantly clinical role to provide assessment, triage and referral for patients with hip and/or knee arthritis on the orthopaedic waiting list. This requires working closely with the Grade 4 OAHKS Lead, the wider advanced musculoskeletal physiotherapy team and administrative staff.
