Product Development Manager

This role will contribute to the on-time development of clinically eff ective, innovative and commercially successful products for the Bio Ceuticals Professional and Clinical ranges. This role will be working on technical formulation, and together with Business Activity Management, Marketing, Braeside Manufacturing and Group Operations teams.
This role will also provide technical expertise in the development, formulation and evidence assembly of new and existing products. Identify and assess new scientific developments and ingredient trends in partnership with other Group teams.
We are looking for someone that is NSW based as this role will be based in our Surry Hills office with an expectation to work from office at least 3 days a week. This role will report directly to the Head of Product Development - Bio Ceuticals.

Responsibilities include:
- Develop new and upgraded products and services which are clinically effective, innovative and commercially successful for the Bio Ceuticals brand
- Work collaboratively and cross-functionally with colleagues within PD teams regarding research, techniques, sources, evidence suitability and claims writing relative to regulatory guidelines as well as regulatory interpretation
- Critically appraise evidence for potential ingredients/products and prepare research analysis reports
- Conduct literature and regulatory reviews, and report recommendations for potential formulas
- Critically appraise evidence to develop and substantiate claims according to the TGA guidelines
- Be at the forefront of the latest ingredients and technology trends in the dietary supplement industry
- Forster relationships with key local and international suppliers and manufacturers Work within the framework of Stage Gate and IBP processes to improve efficiency, impact and speed to market.

Who are you?
- A degree in science, health science or a qualified in naturopathy, as a nutritionist or traditional chinese medicine (TCM).
- Strong knowledge on raw materials suppliers, active and excipient ingredients and contract manufacturers
- Knowledge of innovation (Stage Gate) processes.
- Deep belief in Natural Health products and industry.
- Experience in the field of medical sciences/nutrition or pharmaceutical formulation or manufacturing or stability and analytical testing
- Ability to critically appraise clinical trials
- Understanding of regulatory requirements Strategic thinker and possess commercial acumen through previous work experience
