Production Assistant and All-Rounder

Position Details:
Employment Type - Part-time role with the potential to become full-time.
Operating Hours - Our operating hours are between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM, Monday to Friday. Shifts will be scheduled within these hours based on operational requirements; you will not be expected to work the full 12-hour span.
Key Responsibilities:
Culinary Assistance :
- Unmoulding, flipping, and rotating cheeses.
- Moulding and baking cookies to perfection.
- Cutting and packaging cheeses by hand.
- Packing orders accurately and efficiently.
Set-Up and Pack-Down:
- Preparing workstations and equipment at the start of the day.
- Cleaning and storing equipment after production ends.
Maintenance Tasks:
- Washing dishes and ensuring all utensils are clean.
- Cleaning and sanitising workstations and floors to maintain a safe environment.
Customer Interaction:
- Assisting in our shop as a friendly and knowledgeable shop assistant.
- Using the point-of-sale system to process transactions.
- Explaining products to customers, highlighting features and benefits.
General Support:
- Helping out wherever needed to ensure smooth daily operations.
Requirements:
Experience & Certifications:
- Previous experience working with food.
- Valid food safety certificate.
- Forklift licence is a plus but not essential.
Skills & Knowledge:
- Ability to lift up to 20kg safely.
- Understanding of ingredients, formulas, and food production processes.
- Awareness of food allergies and intolerances.
Personal Attributes:
- Friendly personality with excellent communication skills.
- Proven sales abilities and customer service experience.
- Flexibility to assist in various roles as needed.
- Team player with a proactive attitude.

Pay: $25.00 – $29.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
