Malwa Fresh Farm currently has a position vacant for Products/Vegetables Inspector for their farm located in Walloon QLD.
Main Responsibilities:
· inspecting produces from the farm as well as storage, shipment locations and wholesale markets to make sure they meet government hygiene and quality standards.
· auditing and monitoring quality procedures at farms and food handling and processing facilities to ensure compliance with required standards
· testing samples of produce for quality, size and purity
· ensuring that required standards of hygiene are observed at storage, processing and packing facilities and in transport vehicles.
Skills required for the role:
The successful candidate should possess the following attributes:
· Ability to make accurate observations
· Comfortable working with computers and other current technologies
· Excellent communication skills/ interpersonal skills
· Excellent supervisory and organizational skills
· Ability to hire, train and oversee many field worker
· Must possess diploma or higher-level relevant qualification in horticulture
· Experience of 2 years or more in a similar role.
